Some New Designs

I have been working on some new contemporary designs over the last month or so and have now started to fabricate some small pieces to see if the idea works.

The coloured glass will be bonded onto the clear glass and then framed to make small panels. The idea behind it is that you will see the sandblasted seed head / thistle through the coloured glass. but the sandblasting will give a shadow as the light passes through it.

Found a Way To Use My Scrap Glass

Just bought this new mould which is great for using all my scraps and off cuts of glass from my other jewellery. What do you think? This is using off cuts of dichroic glass and scraps of clear bullseye that are useless for anything else!

Some Collaboration Work With Wood Turner Geoff Tulip

Geoff is a very talented wood turner who sells his work at St George's Market most Saturdays. His work can also be seen in Space CRAFT, Belfast and he is a member of the craft and design collective in Northern Ireland. Over the last few weeks we have been working together to design something in glass to include in his fabulous turned bowls. Here are some of the first prototypes.

Louise's Wool Store at St George's Market

Just wanted to share some of my lovely images that I have taken of Louise's Wool who is my neighbour at St George's Market. Lighthouse wool sells the most amazing range of wool's I have ever seen together with buttons and ribbons.
