Exhibition Opening Zipper Sculpture

My friend Bonnie Soroke who I met through a community arts workshop ran by CAF had the opening of her exhibition tonight. It is the first exhibition of her work and I was excited to see what she has been doing. I knew that she worked with zips and she was using them to represent people, but that was the only part of the concept of her artwork that I was aware of so I couldn't wait to see it. Hillsborough & Strangford

This was part of the second day of our tour.
Hillsborough is a little bit of England in Northern Ireland, It is where Hillsborough Castle is located & where the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland resides. Lovely Georgian architecture with lovely mews houses located through arched driveways.
Strangford is located at one side of Strangford Lough with Portaferry on the other side which is part of the Ards Peninsula. There is a car ferry that transports you across the mouth of the Lough.

North Antrim Coast

I have spent the last few days as a tour guide for an old friend of my husbands that is visiting Belfast at the moment. So have spent a few days driving all around different parts of Northern Ireland. Here are some photo's from the North Antrim Coast including the Giants Causeway.

A Week of Making

I've had a busy time of making bits and pieces over the last week or so, mostly jewellery for the display cabinet at Templepatrick.
Sales have been steady and was told that mine is the busies display cabinet they have. I'm all the time trying to think of new things to do and put in there, so also busy making a new line of coasters ect. I have been making a few new designs in my jewellery range too, so it will be interesting to see how they sell and what people think. I've also made some rings so will be interested to see if they sell at all.

Wales

Have been away for a few days in Wales this week, delivering my Steven's Competition Panel and Catching up with friends and family. Had a few sunny days and good walks along the Gower Coastline.
